Gretchen's road map to color selection

  1. Choose a spot and gather your colors so you can see them.
  2. Lay down each palette page (don't cheat!) and watch the colors react.
  3. Write down every color you see reacting positively, ignore the colors that don't.
  4. From your list, begin to make different combinations to create your destination.
Make the most of the collections

The colors are laid out in a special sequence on the palette page to serve as a guide, to help you pick colors easily and for all kinds of decor. Start with the lightest color family, Pebbles and Cream, and pick two to three colors that look great with your wood colors and your favorite fabrics. Do the same with each page. Make sure to make a list of all of your choices.

You will see, for example, not only the green you want but also all kinds of other color possibilities you may not have even thought about. Amazing, right? You may end up with blues you never thought would work. At the end you will have many great, beautiful colors. They will either confirm what you thought, or give you a new color perspective you didn't previously have.

Mix and match as you would a wardrobe

Just like stylists in the fashion world—people who pull together the perfect outfit, from head to toe-you want to approach your wall color decisions by pulling together complementary elements in combination. Think of your room accents and hard surfaces as the accessories. Now, apply your Devine Color® roadmap to create your love affair with your colors, by organizing them as to how well they go together, and with your accents. Are there colors that can flip back and forth between combinations?

See, feel actual color

We intentionally created color collections that are finger-daubed with real paint so that you can immediately feel our difference. Seeing is believing! Rub the color and feel the quality of the paint.

These are the only color collections in the paint industry like it. Paint chips are not made from real paint, and they typically come as stand-alone samples. Our collections show real paint color, brought together in a harmonious team, so you can see their true depth and get a sense as to which colors belong in your home.

Palettes, pouches and pages

We thought really hard about the best and most convenient ways for you to select and then test drive color before you commit yourself, and then we set about creating the right vehicle to deliver it.
